The Nigerian film industry has lost one of its stars, Charles Granville, who died on Thursday, September 21st after a long illness.
Granville was a versatile and talented artiste who excelled in acting, songwriting, music and filmmaking. He was also the chairperson of the Advisory Committee on Arts and Entertainment.
A statement signed by a family member, Iyenemri Somiari Granville, added that “funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.”
He featured in several movies, such as ‘Last Flight To Abuja’, ‘Impossible Relationships’, ‘Dowry Man’ and the upcoming movie ‘Locked’.
He was popular for his role in the TV series ‘Tinsel’, where he played the character of Soji.
Taking to their Instagram page, King Minjin, shared the obituary flier and also emphasized how shocking the tragic loss of Charles Granville was.
He will be remembered for his contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian entertainment industry.
