For several days, FirstBank users have encountered difficulties accessing the bank’s mobile application, FirstMobile, preventing them from completing transactions via the platform.
Newsonspot reports that in response, the bank has acknowledged the situation, apologizing for the inconvenience caused.
First Bank assured customers that efforts are underway to resolve the technical issue as quickly as possible. The bank also encouraged users to explore alternative channels, including First Online, USSD (*894#), and ATMs, to continue their transactions during this period.
Additionally, the bank warned users to remain vigilant against fraudsters who might attempt to exploit the situation by soliciting sensitive banking information.
The bank wrote:
“We are sorry.
“We are aware that you may be experiencing some challenges in transacting on our FirstMobile platform.
“We do apologise and ask that you bear with us as we are currently working on rectifying this issue in the shortest possible time. Our alternative channels – First Online, USSD (*894#) and ATMs are available for your use in carrying out your transactions at this time.
“As we strive to fix the issues, please be warned of fraudsters who may attempt to solicit your bank information for fraudulent purposes.
“Thank you for your patience. We will provide an update shortly.”
