Following the completion of investigations into the incident of diversion of an Abuja/Lagos bound flight to Asaba airport involving a United Nigeria Airline aircraft by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the airline has announced the lifting of suspension slammed on its wet-leased aircraft.
The NCAA in a memo issued to the Managing Director of the airline, dated December 1, 2023, confirmed “the lifting of the suspension of Part G Operations Specifications.”
The NCAA in the statement issued and signed by the Director of Operations, Licensing and Training, Captain I. B Dambazau noted: You are also required to comply with the Nigeria Civil Aviation All Operators letter (DG 15/2023) referenced NCAA/DGCA/AIR/11/16/347).”
Confirming this in a statement issued by the airline, while apologising to its teeming customers affected by the disruptions the development caused, the airline emphasized its ongoing efforts to clear all the backlogs of flight schedules the disruption created.
According to the airline: “We are pleased to announce the lifting of the suspension placed on our ‘Part G’ operations specifications which affected one of our aircraft. We want to express our deepest gratitude to you for keeping faith with us and for your understanding during this period.
