Since he announced that he has been tested positive for coronavirus and will be coming to Lagos for treatment, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari’s presence in Lagos has been shrouded in secrecy.
Even the Lagos state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, has refused to disclose the facility where he’s being treated in Lagos.
When a reporter asked the Commissioner during his briefing the whereabouts of Kyari, he said though he was in contact with Abba Kyari on WhatsApp, but could not say which facility he’s being treated in Lagos.
A health worker who’s privy to the whole arrangement said Kyari was flown into Lagos in military ambulance and he is being treated at the military hospital, Yaba.
The military hospital that is tucked between WAEC headquarters and Yaba College of Technology is being guarded jealousy because of the VIP on admission at the facility.
According to the health worker, “ we noticed on Tuesday that there was increased military presence around the facility, obviously to ward off unwanted guests so that the Chief of Staff who is recuperating there will be under close supervision of the military doctors attending to him.”
Abba Kyari, Buhari’s Chief of Staff is on admission at the Military Hospital, Yaba, where he is currently being treated for #COVID19. An Insider Health worker informed me.
