A man, who claimed to have witnessed the incident took to Twitter to narrate how an iPhone 13 smartphone prevented what could have been a catastrophic ending for one of the victims.
Flowolf, a Nigerian Twitter user, has narrated how security personnel attached to Damini Ogulu, famously known as Burna Boy, shot his friends at a Lagos club on Wednesday.
The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba has waded into the shooting incident while Burna Boy’s five police escorts have been detained.
“I can’t even tweet what Burna Boy ‘s people done [sic] to my guys in front of my eyes at Club Cubana yesterday cos I still can’t believe it,” Flowolf wrote on Wednesday.

He later revealed what transpired between the men in Ogulu’s entourage and his friends on Sunday.
“My guys came to Nigeria from England and USA respectively for a wedding,” Flowolf tweeted. “I invited them out to Club Cubana. A petty altercation with Burna Boy’s people arose because of a woman. Next thing, bullets started flying. One of my friends got scraped in the head by a bullet and the other one got shot in the leg,” he said.
Flowolf said he and others took the friend shot in the leg to the Naval Medic Centre in Victoria Island. None of the victim’s friends could donate the three pints of blood he needed because they had been drinking alcohol in the club.

“Two good samaritan soldiers then offered to give a pint of blood each which was then used to stabilize him. The doctor said the iPhone in his pocket, which the bullet went through, slowed down the bullet making it less fatal. The iphone saved his life,” Flowolf said.
