Senator Dino Melaye, former senator who represented the Kogi West Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, has described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as a Non-Governmental Organisiation (NGO), saying Nigerians are fed up with the current administration.
Melaye, who was on the frontline of the APC Campaign trail in the buildup to the 2015 General Elections, said he is full of regret for supporting the candidacy of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The former lawmaker stated this on Friday night when he featured on a Channels TV programme, ‘Politics Today’.
Dino who is currently a chieftain of the opposition party, PDP, said President Muhammadu Buhari was the greatest scam in Africa.
Speaking on the current security crisis ravaging the entire country, the former senator alleged that Nigerian security agencies are, “behaving like boyscouts all because of corruption and ineptitude.”
He said the security agencies fighting the insurgents are not excelling despite their successes in international peacekeeping due to corruption in the government.
According to Melaye, Nigeria had not faced, ”terrible security and economic situation like this before.
“The Buhari agenda is the greatest scam that came out of Africa. Once I was blind, now I can see. How can one remain in a political party and support the presidency with what is happening today in Nigeria? I regret seriously supporting that because we were scammed.
“Nigerians are fed up with this NGO called the APC. The insecurity in this country; we have never seen anything like this; I cannot fathom it.
“There is no governance in government. We have no President, the President is not available. It has never been this terrible”, Melaye lamented.
However, he recently apologized to Goodluck Jonathan, stating that he was blind while supporting the current president, Muhammadu Buhari.
